Ellis Patents Ltd is a specialist UK designer and manufacturer of cable cleats, cable clamps and cable fixings. Particular emphasis is placed on designing products to restrain cables installed in trefoil formation, which are subject to potentially significant levels of short-circuits. The company undertakes regular extensive independent third party short-circuit testing to ensure that products conform to the requirements of international standards, including IEC 61914 and the European Standard “Cable cleats for electrical installations” EN 50368:2003. Ellis Patents provides a full range of cable fixings, which are suitable for single, trefoil or bundled cables. Products are manufactured from a variety of materials, including type 316L stainless steel, cast aluminium, low smoke and fume (LSF) nylon / polymeric material and polypropylene. Through in-house CAD design facilities, Ellis Patents is able to provide solutions to non-standard cable applications and to react quickly to meet customers’ requirements.
